Posted October 17, 2006  PRCA National Finals Rodeo Qualifier Event For the second year the PRCA Championship Rodeo will be held in Fort Collins. With little fan-fair this Rodeo attracts the best of the best in their profession. The event will be held October 19-21 at the CSU Equine Center.

This event attracts the very best Rodeo and Bull riders in the nation because of the dates of the event.

This qualifier is held just before the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas ever year. This year it is November 30 - December 9. Cowboys and cowgirls have this one last event to try to qualify for the top thirty places in each event. Many entrants use this event to try to get past the bubble position of number 30 or in some instances to solidify their hold on a qualifying position.

The livestock used in Rodeo events are also qualifying for a chance to be in the National Finals Rodeo. The stock suppliers always bring their very best to this event.

This year's event is even bigger than the inaugural event in 2005. This year it has been expanded to three nights of championship rodeo with extended bull riding and barrel racing. There will be over 720 contestants coming to the Fort and vying for the right to compete in the National Finals Rodeo. Each evening the the show begins at 7:30pm. The equine center is located at 701 S. OverlandTrail in Fort Collins.

Tickets are $15.00 to $22.00 per show. Children under 12 receive $2.00 off the ticket price. Tickets can be purchased at the door or pre-purchased at the Sundance, Corral West or Ranch Way Feeds.
