Fort Collins Colorado has long been known as the regional shopping and entertainment center of Northern Colorado. Now Fort Collins has to share that spotlight with it's neighbor to the south. Just in the last three years Centerra in Loveland has developed with a 3000 acre office, residential and shopping development.

Because Fort Collins and Loveland are so close, it only takes 20 minutes from city to city, They are considered by most Northern Colorado residents to be just one large shopping experience.

The newest and brightest shopping area in Fort Collins is the Front Range Village Lifestyle Center. The 109 acre former corn field at Zieglar Road and Harmony Road will be built into a 900,000 square foot commercial retail and office development when it is complete. The Village opened in July 2008. . This town center concept will be slightly larger than it's already developed neighbor to the south The Promenade Shops at Centerra.

Foothills Fashion mall. This mall located at Foothills Parkway and College Ave is Fort Collins oldest mall. It contains space for over one hundred twenty stores and presently has two large anchor stores.

Unique Merchant Internet Mall. This internet shopping area is full of merchants of products and services which you cannot find at the Mall or Front Range Village. These are the types of products and services which we all use everyday however these are the unique, the unusual and the hard to find. Gift ideas that you can't usually find in your local store. These are for the most part small merchants and small companies which are termed niche marketers. If all else fails it is rather fun to look around.

One of Fort Collins most unique shopping areas is Fort Collins Old Town. This fantastically restored shopping and restaurant area centers on Old Town Square. Not only does it offer unique retail stores and restaurants and don't forget the breweries and brew pubs, it is the entertainment center of the city.

Located just twenty minutes south of Fort Collins is another Lifestyle Center which is just three years old. It is the Promenade Shops at Centerra and offers Fort Collins shoppers another large shopping area. Many of the stores are the same as the ones in Fort Collins but there is also many unique ones not available here.

Also just twenty minutes south is the Loveland Outlet Mall also located at the intersection of I-25 and highway 34. This center has been at this location for many years. It contains many of the national brand stores found in outlet malls around the country.

The Centerra Marketplace is located at I-25 and Highway 34 just south of Fort Collins is Loveland. This area has many new big box retailers , specialty stores and restaurants.
